Why so difficult

I think I've tried to make macaroons twice before, both were complete disasters might just leave it up to the French I think.
Probably the most interesting flavour Ive tried was Beetroot, not as bad as it sounds, quite deelish actually

Clutter me Silly

Have to wonder why I like a clean place but also crave a bit of clutter here & there

Peacefull Serenity

Love the idea of outdoor weddings especially when you have a dance floor this big. More beautiful DIY floral arrangements... looks like Nanna's fine glassware

A Messy Seafood Feast

God.. I wish I could have been at this party, I like the casual, elegant setting & the lack of manners when it comes to a good seafood feast.

A Stylin Party

I cant wait for the next children's party or friends gathering to come around so I can make an outstanding table piece for it. A hens afternoon would be perfect

What an Entrance!

So many different ways of transport to the ceremony, love the idea of cruzing up on a few bikes with your bouquet in the wicker basket. Could be a bit hazardous to the attire though
.

Precious Arrangements

Im not much of a flower person but I love the look of a beautifully arranged piece like this one
. I know a lot of people doing a DIY wedding get their wedding flowers from markets the day before & arrange them in various glass bottles or vases. I love this idea

Light it Up

Im a big fan of looking for new innovative home decor.
Swedish design would have to be up there with the most crazy yet functional designs.
Lamps & light shades are defiantly ones that seem to change all the time & keep me guessing
Here are a couple that I wouldn't necessarily have in my home but I still find intriguing

X-Ray Vision

I wanted to share a few photos from a photographer called Nick Veasey.
I have some his art in my home, Its so striking & bright yet has a dark side to it
Im not sure how, but he seems to take an X-ray type image of people, animals & objects.

Blissful....Perfect According to Me!

A perfect setting for a wedding
This has so much character, it's soft, unique & just so so pretty.
It looks like such a comfortable surrounding to be in, you can just smell spring when you look at these.

A Beautiful Print

I have been obsessed with this silk print by Bec & Bridge since it was released at the beginning of summer, I was lucky enough to find one of the maxi styles on Ebay last week for half price.

Invitation Sensation

These days invitations can be too sophisticated & boring
I love how you can be more quirky & fun with them now, like the idea of having a small logo for the couples initials which can be carried throughout the matching accessories. (image 1)
or the use of the letterpress technique in image 2, yes its more expensive but defiantly worth it.
Some modern graphic styles of invites can be quite striking with little work & detail (image 3)

Lula of My Dreams

I don't buy magazines these days but every quarter I order Lula.
It has amazing photography, the writing is unique & the fashion is original.
I have even bought their typeface to use in my wedding invitations in the far future.

My Fave Dessert – ETON MESS

I've been telling my friends to make this easy dessert for years. Its a show stopper, try it out next time. It's great for kids, dinner parties or that special one-on-one occasion. To save time I always buy my meringues instead of making them even though they are simple to make

INGREDIENTS
1 punnet strawberries and or raspberries
4-8 meringue nests
2 cups double cream
1 Tbsp icing sugar for dusting
Berry coulis or compote
Vanilla ice cream
Mint sprig for decoration

METHOD
Halve your strawberries
Crush up meringues in large pieces, set aside
Beat cream til soft peaks form & slowly stir in some blended strawberries, berry coulis or berry compote, then last minute stir in halved strawberries, crunchy meringue (make sure its not swimming in cream its only for coating). Spoon a scoop of ice cream into a cocktail glass & add your mixture followed by more strawberries & berry coulis then dust with icing sugar, finish with mint sprig. Done!

Wednesday Findings

A few of my dearest friends have recently been engaged which excites me in many ways, mainly because now I have a proper excuse to scope out the internet on all the beautiful things you can do with weddings these days.

I have had an idea that we could make some DIY items that will add that special something on the day, one of them is paper mache string spheres to house white tea lights which we can hang. Here is some similar.
